Everest Marathon
About the event
High-altitude race held every year on 29 May from Everest Base Camp, the anniversary of the 1953 ascent by Tenzing Norgay Sherpa and Edmund Hillary. Distances are a 70 km ultra and a full marathon from Base Camp to Namche Bazaar, and a half marathon from Dingboche; non-runners can join the trek.
