Bataan Memorial Death March
About the event
Memorial march in the desert of White Sands Missile Range honouring the soldiers of the 1942 Bataan Death March in the Philippines. Participants choose the full march (26.2 miles) or the honorary march (14.2 miles), with a heavy category carrying a loaded backpack; there is also a virtual edition. It has been held since 1989, at White Sands since 1992.
